The award winning cookbook author Paul Wolfert is perhaps best known for introducing cooks to the cuisines of Morocco, the Mediterranean, and Southwest France. Her first book Couscous and Other Good Food From Morocco (1973) was published after the experience and knowledge she gained from living in Morocco in the 1960’s. For anyone who wants to understand the art of cooking in clay pots and tagines, particularly if you’re going to try a cassoulet for the first time, Paula’s beautiful and informative books should be a part of anyone’s collection. ~ Cookbook Recipe Database

PAULA WOLFERT, a resident of San Francisco, is the author of five previously  published cookbooks, all considered classics. Among them: Coucous and Other Good Food from Moroccoo, The Cooking of Soutwest France, and three books on Mediterranean cuisine including the much praised Cooking of the Eastern Mediterranean. She has won the Julia Child Award, The James Beard Award, The M. F. K. Fisher  Award, The Tastemaker Award and been a finalist for the Andre Simon Award.
