I have been trying to teach my friend, Ally, how to cook for years. I knew how frustrated she was, and after becoming a mother and stepmother, the time had come to get serious.

This summer I created some home videos to teach Ally the most simple (but delicious) meals that any beginner could tackle. Word of Ally’s successes in the kitchen traveled and everyone I knew wanted these videos. Ally, generous as she is, insisted we share them.

So I teamed up with some fantastic people who share my passion for helping people learn how to cook and that’s how do it Delicious was born.

So many of us have busy, complicated lives. Wouldn’t it be great to be comfortable in your own kitchen and competent with the basics? We want to help all you “Allys” out there feel that way.

Tell us what you want to learn—it could be a specific dish or a basic technique. We’ll try to respond with simple advice and wholesome recipes that are for real beginners (or anyone looking to make a quick, easy meal.)
